He and his long-time friends, guitarist Matt Roberts and bassist Todd Harrell shared the same musical interests. It was a natural for the three to start a band together.

Marilyn Manson, leader of one of the world's most controversial bands, began his life in 1969 on Canton, Ohio, as Brian Warner. He was an only child and brought up as an Episcopalian, under his mother's religion. Despite attending a religious school he developed a strong hate for Christianity and its nuances and begged to be transferred out of the religious school and into a public school, which his parents finally did.
